Captain Hawk



Welcome to bio' of a fictional chap I've developed. This is where you can follow the recent art work that is created around him & his friends. View, buy and enjoy as situations develop and he shares his life with you - via the paint brush.

Captain Hawk is a local character residing in the sea-side city of Napier on the East Coast of New Zealand. He has held a life long passion for all things nautical and dreams constantly of sailing the Oceans. Unfortunately, Captain Hawk suffers from acute sea-sickness for which there is no cure therefore his dreams must remain… just that!

Lilith is the Captain's lady friend and companion. She is totally tolerant of his salty whims and accompanies him on his many adventures within the Art Deco capital they call home. They share custody of Wolfee, a family Fox Terrier and it is understood that the comical K9 could and indeed would go with absolutely anybody, anywhere at anytime. But for now the threesome are content to be together. 

Their adventures are recorded on canvas using quality acrylic paint and mixed media to capture the moment. Follow them on their daily life experiences in the whimsical, naive and more often comical situations. Each work is a unique piece of art with a technique used to age the canvas giving it a richness and depth created by the many layers of media. The final clear layers are slipped down the work developing a veiling effect again adding to the depth. Paintings are on a boxed frame, ready to hang on your wall. Art can be posted anywhere you are at buyers expense. All enquires and commissions are most welcome ... and I won't keep you waiting!
